Our Faith
At Nations Fellowship Centre, we define faith as a life-transforming relationship with Jesus Christ, not as religion or rigid rules. Therefore, we focus on helping people grow in a real and personal connection with God.
We are a Bible-believing and Spirit-filled Christian church in Uppsala. In addition, our members come from many nations and church backgrounds. However, we remain united through the core truths of the Christian faith.
The Holy Bible
We believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God. Therefore, we use Scripture as our foundation for faith, daily living, and spiritual growth.
As a result, we teach, lead, and live according to biblical truth.
The Trinity
We believe in one eternal God who exists in three Persons. Moreover, we recognize:
- God the Father
- God the Son
- God the Holy Spirit
Thus, we affirm one God in essence, revealed in three distinct Persons.
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is central to the Christian faith. In addition, we affirm the following truths:
- He is fully God and fully man
- He was born of a virgin
- He died for the sins of humanity
- He rose again from the dead
- He ascended to the right hand of the Father
As a result, His sacrifice brings salvation and redemption to all who believe.
Salvation
We believe that all people are born with a sinful nature. However, God offers salvation through Jesus Christ alone.
Therefore, anyone who believes in Jesus as Lord and Saviour receives salvation by grace through faith. In other words, we do not earn salvation; we receive it as a gift.
The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the Third Person of the Trinity. Furthermore, the Holy Spirit actively works in the life of every believer.
We recognize the baptism of the Holy Spirit through:
- The fruit of the Spirit
- The gifts of the Spirit
Consequently, believers receive power to live a godly and effective Christian life.
The Church
We believe that the Church is the global Body of Christ made up of all believers. In other words, the Church is not a building.
Instead, it is a living spiritual family. Therefore, we gather regularly to:
- Worship God
- Pray together
- Study the Bible
- Grow in faith
- Build meaningful relationships
- Share the Gospel
The Rapture
We believe that Jesus Christ will return for His Church. Moreover, we expect His return at any time.
At that moment, the dead in Christ will rise, and believers will be transformed to meet the Lord. Therefore, we live with hope and readiness.
Water Baptism
We believe in water baptism by immersion. In addition, we practice it as:
- An act of obedience to Jesus Christ
- A public declaration of faith
Thus, baptism represents a believer’s new life in Christ.
Repentance
We believe that true repentance leads to forgiveness through Jesus Christ. Consequently, it brings real transformation.
As a result, believers turn away from sin and grow in a life that honors God.
The Lord’s Supper
We observe the Lord’s Supper as a remembrance of Jesus’ sacrifice. Furthermore, we continue this practice until He returns.
The Church Is a Family
We do not view the Church as an organization or weekly event. Instead, we see it as a global family of believers.
Therefore, we come together to:
- Worship God
- Pray in unity
- Study Scripture
- Build strong community
- Share the hope of Jesus Christ
